The Night I Realized My Hangover Started Before I Woke Up
A rough Sunday morning after a birthday party got me paying closer attention to what actually happens the night before a hangover, not just the morning after it.

Nobody chooses well in the abstract. You choose in a room, with people waiting.
I am not going to hand you a rule that assumes a quiet kitchen and a free hour. I have not had one of those in years. What I write about is the thirty seconds in front of the fridge, the menu you did not pick, the airport terminal at nine at night.
So every piece starts on a specific day, in a specific place, with the choice I actually made. Then I pull out the part that transfers. If a rule only works on a good day, it is not a rule, it is a fantasy.
Eight places you will find yourself

A note from the road, now and then.
Every couple of weeks I send the one choice that actually changed something that fortnight. No plans, no programmes. Leave whenever you like.
